Centrifugal Pump Design

Description

Centrifugal pumps are the most common designs of pump, wherein a rotating impeller transfers centrifugal force on the fluid. The design of such a pump is arrived based on relative angle of fluid flow at impeller inlet (near hub) and impeller tip. The governing equations for design of impeller are known as euler equations and are based on conversation of angular momentum and velocity triangles. The software app inputs RPM, rated flow rate, rated head and vane inlet / outlet angles. The software outputs impeller diameter, impeller width, eye diameter, axial thrust and radial thrust on the impeller.
